Daintree rainforest - the oldest rainforest on earth

Tour operators offer tours to Daintree National Park, a World Heritage rainforest, rich in flora and fauna, approximately 140 million years old. Daintree National Park is home to Noah's rainforest a steep-sided valley with spectacular scenic views, enchanting rainforest walks and opportunities for relaxing picnics in the shade and swimming in the refreshing river waters.

The amazing Mossman Gorge

The 'Gorge Circuit' is a three kilometre return loop, which includes a short hike along the Mossman River, a panoramic walk over an old wooden suspension bridge and a charming stroll into a towering primeval rainforest of giant fig trees. Admire leafy fern creeks and boulder-filled rivers or take in some of the spectacular bird watching on offer while negotiating the large tree roots snaking across the forest floor.

Cape Tribulation - where coral reef and tropical rainforest meet

North of the Daintree River, the Daintree National Park becomes a scenic coastal stretch of sandy beaches, lush mangroves and swamps. It is a perfect place to view some of Australia's most exotic wildlife from the Cape's ancient rainforest or thriving coral reef.

Exciting white water rafting

Your adrenalin will pump as easy as the Barron River (grade 1-2) or as fast as the mighty Tully River (grade 3-4). This amazing adventure down the river will certainly put a smile onto your face or a scream in your voice. Enjoy a BBQ lunch on the riverbanks and then later, back into the action. Nothing could be better.
